Showcase spotlights student work

Deadline is Friday, Nov. 20 for students to enter their work in the annual College of Mass Communications Student Showcase.
The MCOM Student Showcase will take place 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1. Events will include an opening remarks/reception in MCOM 101 followed by the showcase in MCOM 001.
Student work will be judged in four categories: Graphic Design, Video, Photo, and Web Design.
Rules: All entries must be made no later than 3 p.m., Friday, November 20. All submissions must be accompanied by an entry form (see attached). Students may submit one (1) entry for each category. In addition, submissions must be original and free from copyright infringement.
All submissions must be packaged in 3 CDs or DVDs to:

Digital Photo
- Up to 10 photos may be submitted
- Photo submissions must be made in a jpeg format
Video
- The video project must be no longer than five (5) minutes in length
- Video submissions must be saved using QuickTime
Multimedia
- Interactive multimedia projects may be submitted – for websites, please e-mail link to (todd.chambers@ttu.edu). Flash and other types of multimedia projects should be submitted separately
- Each CD-ROM should clearly identify the title of the project – please no names
- Web-based submissions must be active. Inactive websites will be disqualified
Graphic Design
- Logos, graphic designs and other types of graphics should be submitted as jpeg files
- Up to five (5) graphics may be submitted
As part of the showcase the college is sponsoring a student competition not only for Mass Communications majors but also for area high schools and community colleges (South Plains College, Amarillo College and Midland College). All entries for the competition must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 20 to Amy Boren (above).
